I have been a client of Jarod’s for a year and a half. I initially started training after having two surgeries in my lower back. It had been 2 years since the last surgery and I had started to experience pain again. Physical therapy helped a little bit but did not seem to be hard enough and it wasn’t giving me the results I wanted. I also wanted to lose weight as part of my plan to reduce my back pain and become strong and fit. Understanding human anatomy is part of my work as a physician so I knew I needed to find someone to help me work on my core strength while not further causing problems for my back. Jarod has an excellent grasp of the anatomy and knew what exercises I needed to strengthen my body while avoiding any that might hurt my back. He is always up to date and interested in new techniques. As we have progressed, he continues to help me improve by changing and adapting to my new abilities. It’s been both challenging and really fun! I give Jarod the highest recommendation possible! Jarod is always on time and easy to work with for any schedule changes. He does his job very well and treats everyone in the club with respect. I believe every client needs different kinds of motivation and he has pegged mine. I tend to want to overwork and respond to increasing challenges. He always listens to how I feel that day and then adapts my workout. He also pushes me to do things I would never have been able to do at the beginning. He is really nice, easy to talk to, and never rude. Since we started working on my goals of decreasing back pain, losing weight, and increasing my functionality for everyday work I have improved greatly. I have lost 30 pounds and gained so much strength. I have beautiful definition in my muscles all over. I am so strong now and feel like I can do anything he makes up for me. I also strengthened my core and back to the point that I rarely have pain. I am so happy that I moved on from physical therapy to personal training with Jarod. My results have been phenomenal and I feel so much better.

It is no secret that having a baby can be hard on your body. I gained over 50 pounds during my pregnancy. I tried to work out on my own but nothing I did seemed to be enough, and without results there was no motivation to continue. I made the decision to join a gym and get some help from a professional. Then I met Nikki. We started addressing the problem areas, taking it one day at a time. It felt good to have someone understand what I was dealing with. I was not alone anymore. I’ve learned about nutrition, I’ve learned about how important hydrating your body is, and most importantly I’ve learned that a combination of knowledge, self-discipline, hard work and motivation is the recipe for success. I remember telling Nikki one day that the difference between working out by myself and being trained by her is that I remember how I get to my car when I worked out myself! We all need a little push now and then, and when it comes to that...Nikki, you’ve pushed me to limits I didn’t know existed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
